Setting:
Location- Iroquois lived in the fertile country of the great lakes. In the eastern woodlands. Now is the northern New York.
Physical Geography- The Iroquois lived in the eastern woodlands region. There is a lot of woods and plants. Animals are also available to hunt. The Iroquois settled in the rich land where Lake Ontario, the five Finger Lake and the Saint Lawrence river are surrounded. They provided abundant fish.
Climate-The climate is warm in spring and summer. Tabbaco, fruits and berries were abundant.In winter, the climate is cold. The temperature could go below zero.
Language-The Iroquois separated into several nations. There are currently seven Iroquoian languages. Cherokee and Mohawk were the two most popular languages in Iroquois population. The rest of the language were spoken by less population which are in dangerous extinction. Both adult and children learned how to speak Iroquoian. The Iroquois Indians have no written language, people developed excellent memories.
